Mandatory Training

1. First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training

This training teaches individuals how to respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). It covers how to recognize and respond to common medical emergencies, such as choking, heart attacks, and strokes.1. 

 2. Health and Safety Training

This training covers the principles of health and safety in the workplace, including the identification and assessment of hazards, risk management, and accident prevention. It also covers the responsibilities of employers and employees in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

3. COSHH Awareness Training

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) training teaches individuals how to identify and handle hazardous substances safely, including chemicals, biological agents, and radioactive materials. It covers the importance of risk assessment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling practices.

4. Food Hygiene Training

Food hygiene training teaches individuals how to handle, prepare, and store food safely, in order to prevent contamination and the spread of food-borne illnesses. It covers principles such as personal hygiene, cross-contamination, temperature control, and cleaning and disinfection.

5. Fire Safety Training

Fire safety training teaches individuals how to prevent fires and respond appropriately in the event of a fire emergency. It covers fire prevention, fire risk assessment, evacuation procedures, and the use of fire-fighting equipment.

6. Confidentiality Training

Confidentiality training teaches individuals how to handle confidential information, including personal and medical data, in compliance with data protection regulations. It covers the importance of confidentiality, patient rights, and how to store and share information safely and securely.

7. Infection Control Training

Infection control training teaches individuals how to prevent the spread of infections, including standard precautions, hand hygiene, and the use of PPE. It covers the principles of aseptic technique, environmental cleaning, and waste disposal.

8. Safeguarding Training

Safeguarding training teaches individuals how to identify and respond to signs of abuse or neglect in vulnerable individuals, including children and adults at risk. It covers the importance of reporting concerns, safeguarding procedures, and the roles and responsibilities of different agencies.

9. Manual Handling Training

Manual handling training teaches individuals how to handle objects and people safely to prevent injury and strain. It covers principles such as risk assessment, correct lifting techniques, and the use of manual handling aids.9.
